We are nestled amid the high hills of the Cowichan Valley at Laketown Ranch Music and Recreation Park, 30 km west of Duncan, B.C. near Lake Cowichan, B.C. The area has wineries, lakes, house boating, hiking and is close to oceanfront with whale watching, sailing and the gorgeous Gulf Islands of the Salish Sea. 

From Victoria (75 minutes): 

Take Highway 1 past Duncan. Turn west onto Cowichan Valley Highway #18 and drive 20 minutes to Laketown Ranch Music Park, which is 2 km from the turnoff the Lake Cowichan townsite. Driving time from Victoria is approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes. 

From Swartz Bay Ferry terminal and Victoria International Airport:

  • Via Brentwood Bay Mill Bay Ferry (80 minutes plus ferry boarding time):

Take Highway 17 to Brentwood Bay and board the ferry to Mill Bay, a scenic crossing of three nautical miles that takes 15 minutes. From the Mill Bay ferry landing, proceed on Ferry Bay/Mill Bay Road to Frayne Road and on to Highway 1. Drive past Duncan and turn west onto Cowichan Valley Highway #18 and drive 20 minutes to Laketown Ranch Music Park, which is 2 km from the turnoff the Lake Cowichan townsite.  This route is approximately 80 minutes travelling time, excluding wait time at the ferry. 

  • Via Highway 17 and Highway 1 (80 minutes):

Take Highway 17 towards Victoria. Turn right onto Mackenzie Avenue and right onto Highway 1. Take Highway 1 past Duncan. Turn west onto Cowichan Valley Highway #18 and drive 20 minutes to Laketown Ranch Music Park, which is 2 km from the turnoff the Lake Cowichan townsite. Driving time is approximately 80 minutes. 

From Salt Spring Island. (80 minutes plus ferry boarding time):

Take the Vesuvius Bay-Crofton Ferry, a crossing of 2.8 nautical miles that takes 25 minutes. From Crofton Bay ferry landing, take York Ave/Osborne Bay Rd/Herd Road to the junction of Highway 1. Proceed straight onto Cowichan Valley Highway #18 and drive 20 minutes to Laketown Ranch Music Park, which is 2 km from the turnoff the Lake Cowichan townsite. This route is approximately 80 minutes travel time excluding ferry boarding times. 

From Nanaimo and the Duke Point Ferry Terminal at Nanaimo. (50 minutes):

Take Highway 1 heading towards Victoria and turn right onto Cowichan Valley Highway #18. Drive  20 minutes west to Laketown Ranch Music Park, which is 2 km from the turnoff the Lake Cowichan townsite. Driving time is approximately 50 minutes from Nanaimo.

From Vancouver via ferries (2 hrs. 40 mins. excluding ferry boarding time):

 – Take the BC Ferry route from either Horseshoe Bay to Duke Point at Nanaimo or from the Tsawwassen Ferry Terminal to Duke Point at Nanaimo. Follow directions from Nanaimo (above). Travel time is approximately 2 hours and 40 minutes excluding ferry boarding times.  Alternately, take the BC Ferry route from Tsawwassen to Swartz Bay near Sidney, a crossing of approximately 1 hours and 40 minutes. Follow driving directions from Swartz Bay (above). This route has a total travel time of approximately 3 hours excluding ferry boarding times.

From Vancouver via air: 

WestJet, Air Canada and Pacific Coastal all fly from Vancouver to Victoria International and to Comox BC.

 From Comox, the drive to our site is approximately two hours via Highways 19, Highway 1 and Cowichan Valley Highway. 

From Victoria International, travel time is approximately 80 minutes (see above). 

From Seattle/Olympic Peninsula/Washington State: 

Alaska Air has direct service from Seattle/Tacoma to Victoria International Airport. Harbour Air and Kenmore Air have seaplane service from the Seattle area to the Victoria Inner Harbour. 

The Victoria Clipper is a three-hour scenic passenger-only ferry from Seattle to Victoria. 

The Black Ball Ferry has vehicle/passenger service from Port Angeles, Wa. to Victoria. 

Washington State Department of Transportation has ferry service from Anacortes, Wa. to Sidney, BC via San Juan Island.
